About Us

Village Voice

Village Voice has been part of the Peninsula Village since 2008, a community that is beloved by its residents. Over two years ago we expanded our coverage to connect with the vibrant Village of Brisbane’s captivating Inner North suburbs. We tell the stories behind local events, local businesses, and local personalities. If it’s happening in the Village, it’s in Village Voice.

As the region’s leading free local publication, Village Voice reflects the views and lifestyles of residents, workers and visitors in Brisbane’s most desirable suburbs. For the Peninsula area, that means Kangaroo Point, Newstead, Newstead North, Teneriffe, Fortitude Valley, Bowen Hills, New Farm, Spring Hill, and Petrie Bight. For the Inner North, they are Ascot, Hamilton, Hendra, Eagle Farm, Wooloowin, Clayfield, Kalinga, Northshore, and Albion.

Our Village

There’s a lot to love about the Village Voice neighbourhood. Our community boasts an inviting village atmosphere, which stems from modern cultural influences, a mix of boutique retail shopping, and a firmly established café culture.

Alfresco dining options, bespoke businesses, exemplary schools and stunning architecture intermingle with the charm of Brisbane’s early history to create an ambiance that caters to residents with a strong social conscience and a commitment to the inner-city environment.

Our Readers

Village Voice readers are educated high-income professionals, mixed with families who call our once sleepy, now chic suburbs home. Our neighbourhood also captures Brisbane’s first high-rise developments, so our audience also features a large number of empty nesters and retirees.

20,000 copies of Village Voice are personally hand-delivered to every home, apartment, and business within our footprint. Each month our in-house delivery team travels across the Story Bridge at Kangaroo Point, throughout the peninsula that winds from New Farm, across to Spring Hill, up to Bowen Hills, to Breakfast Creek at Newstead.  Our team then travels up along the Brisbane River, past Crosby Park to drop in on Hamilton and Eagle Farm, before venturing further north past the racecourses from Hendra to Kalinga to make sure each and every copy finds a home. Additional copies of the magazine are available in third spaces like cafés and bars across the area, as well as in bulk baskets at high traffic flow locations.
